The Talent Roster is a tool for agriculture programs to collect profile information about community members interested in assisting with a local FFA Chapter or agricultural program.
Starting an Alumni Chapter
Have at least 10 members who have paid Idaho State and National FFA Alumni dues.
Have bylaws that are in harmony with the National FFA Alumni bylaws.
Suggested Bylaws can be found at ffa.org/alumni. Go to the menu on the left and click on Alumni. Then click on “About” in the drop box, then, on the right, click on “How to start an Alumni Chapter”. Then, on the right, click on “Suggested bylaws”.
Have a council of elected officers according to Bylaws.
Complete the Application for Chartering/Reactivating.
Help topics on chartering or reactivating can be found at using this link.
Submit the completed Chapter Charter/Reactivating Application to Idaho State FFA Alumni Secretary via our website contact page.
The state FFA Alumni Association will complete the setup process on FFA.org.
After that, the local advisor will link the alumni chapter to the local FFA Chapter. Once linked, the advisor will receive an Alumni Leader Role for the alumni chapter. The alumni chapter will have 30 days to submit their initial roster in ffa.org/alumni. After submitting your roster, you will have 30 days to pay your state and national membership dues to the state secretary. Then the state will approve your roster for national approval. You will then be issued a charter certificate and a scroll and allowed to apply to be a part of National FFA’s 501c3 status.
Apply through the IRS for an EIN number.
Complete the “Application for National FFA 501c3 Status”. This can be found at www.ffa.org/alumni.
Go to menu on left and click on Alumni. Then click on “About” in the drop box, then, on right, click on“How to start an Alumni Chapter”. Then, on right, click on “Application for National FFA 501c3 Status”. Mail to address on the bottom of the application.
